घोटकं दश-साहस्रं
रथानां शतकं तथा
द्विपं सहस्रं गाश् चैव
दिक्-सहस्रं ददौ मुदा
ghoṭakaṃ daśa-sāhasraṃ
rathānāṃ śatakaṃ tathā
dvipaṃ sahasraṃ gāś caiva
dik-sahasraṃ dadau mudā
ghoṭakam—horses; daśa-sāhasram—tne thousand; rathānām—chariots; śatakam—a hundred; tathā—then; dvipam—elephants; sahasram—a thousand; gāḥ—cows; ca—and; eva—indeed; dik-sahasram—ten thousand; dadau—gave; mudā—happily.
English translation of verse 5.24.97:
He happily gave ten thousand horses, one thousand chariots, one thousand elephants, and ten thousand cows.
