एकदा ताः स्व-वस्त्राणि
तीरे न्यस्य व्रजाङ्गनाः
विजह्रुर् यमुना-तोये
कराभ्यां सिञ्चतीर् मिथः

ekadā tāḥ sva-vastrāṇi
tīre nyasya vrajāṅganāḥ
vijahrur yamunā-toye
karābhyāṃ siñcatīr mithaḥ

ekadāonce; tāḥ—they; sva-vastrāṇi—their garments; tīre—on the riverbank; nyasya—placing; vrajāṅganāḥ—the girls of Vraja; vijahruḥ—played; yamunā-toye—in the Yamunā's waters; karābhyām—with their hands; siñcatīḥ—splashing; mithaḥ—each other.

English translation of verse 4.3.5:

Once, placing their garments on the riverbank, the girls of Vraja, played in the Yamunā's waters, splashing each other with both hands.
