श्री-मुनिर् उवाच
सुखेनातः प्रगन्तव्यं
भवतीभिर् यदा स्वतः
यमुनाम् एत्य चैतद् वै
वक्तव्यं मार्ग-हेतवे
śrī-munir uvāca
sukhenātaḥ pragantavyaṃ
bhavatībhir yadā svataḥ
yamunām etya caitad vai
vaktavyaṃ mārga-hetave
śrī-munir uvāca—the sage said; sukhena—easily; ataḥ—then; pragantavyam—should be traveled; bhavatībhiḥ—by you; yadā—when; svataḥ—personally; yamunām—to the Yamunā; etya—coming; ca—and; etat—this; vai—indeed; vaktavyam—should be said; mārga-hetave—to make a pathway.
English translation of verse 4.1.36:
The sage said: i will give you something to say that will give you easy passage across the Yamunā.
