The Garga-samhita Verse 4.1.36, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 4 of Chapter 1 (The Story of the Personified Vedas) of Canto 4 (madhurya-khanda).

श्री-मुनिर् उवाच
सुखेनातः प्रगन्तव्यं
भवतीभिर् यदा स्वतः
यमुनाम् एत्य चैतद् वै
वक्तव्यं मार्ग-हेतवे

śrī-munir uvāca
sukhenātaḥ pragantavyaṃ
bhavatībhir yadā svataḥ
yamunām etya caitad vai
vaktavyaṃ mārga-hetave

śrī-munir uvāca—the sage said; sukhena—easily; ataḥ—then; pragantavyam—should be traveled; bhavatībhiḥ—by you; yadā—when; svataḥpersonally; yamunām—to the Yamunā; etyacoming; ca—and; etat—this; vai—indeed; vaktavyam—should be said; mārga-hetave—to make a pathway.

English translation of verse 4.1.36:

The sage said: i will give you something to say that will give you easy passage across the Yamunā.
