The Garga-samhita Verse 1.14.21, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 1 of Chapter 14 (The Liberation of Shakatasura and Trinavarta) of Canto 1 (goloka-khanda).

उत्कच उवाच
हे मुने हे कृपा-सिन्धो
कृपां कुरु ममोपरि
ते प्रभावं न जानामि
देहं मे देहि हे प्रभो

utkaca uvāca
he mune he kṛpā-sindho
kṛpāṃ kuru mamopari
te prabhāvaṃ na jānāmi
dehaṃ me dehi he prabho

utkacaḥ uvāca—Utkaca said; he—O; mune—sage; he—O; kṛpāof mercy; sindhaḥ—ocean; kṛpām—mercy; kurudo; mama uparito me; te—your; prabhāvam—power; na—not; jānāmi—I know; deham—a body; me—to me; dehiplease give; he—O; prabhaḥ—lord.

English translation of verse 1.14.21:

Utcaka said: O sage, O ocean of mercy, please be kind to me. I did not know your power. O lord, please give me a body.
