लक्ष-भार-समां कंसश्
चीक्षेपेन्द्राय दैत्य-राट्
तां समापततीं वीक्ष्य
जग्राहाशु पुरन्दरः
lakṣa-bhāra-samāṃ kaṃsaś
cīkṣependrāya daitya-rāṭ
tāṃ samāpatatīṃ vīkṣya
jagrāhāśu purandaraḥ
lakṣa—a hundred thousand; bhāra—bhāras; samaṃ—like; kaṃsas—Kaṃsa;
English translation of verse 1.7.35:
cīkṣepa—threw; indrāya—at Indra; daitya-rāṭ—the demon-king; taṃ—that;
samāpatatīṃ—coming; vīkṣya—seeing; jagrāha—took; āśu—at once;
purandaraḥ—Indra.
Then the demon-king Kaṃsa threw that club weighing a hundred thousand bhāras at Indra. Seeing it coming, Indra caught it.
