Verse 5.11.3

स ह सम्पादयांचकार प्रक्ष्यन्ति मामिमे महाशाला महाश्रोत्रियास्तेभ्यो न सर्वमिव प्रतिपत्स्ये हन्ताहमन्यमभ्यनुशासानीति ॥ ५.११.३ ॥

sa ha sampādayāṃcakāra prakṣyanti māmime mahāśālā mahāśrotriyāstebhyo na sarvamiva pratipatsye hantāhamanyamabhyanuśāsānīti || 5.11.3 ||

3. [Uddālaka understood that they had come to ask him about the Vaiśvānara Ātman.] He decided: ‘These eminent householders and Vedic scholars will ask me questions, and I may not be able to answer all of them. Therefore I will direct them to another teacher’.

Saḥ, he [Uddālaka]; ha sampādayāñcakāra, decided; ime mahāśālāḥ, these eminent householders; mahāśrotriyāḥ, and Vedic scholars; mām prakṣyanti, will ask me questions; tebhyaḥ, to them; sarvam iva na pratipatsye, I will not be able to answer everything; hanta aham anyam abhyanuśāsāni iti, therefore I will direct them to another [teacher].
