The Chaitanya Bhagavata 1.5.46, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 46 of Adi-khanda chapter 5—“Eating the Mendicant Brahmana’s Offerings”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 1.5.46:

বলিতে লাগিলা যত ইষ্ট-বন্ধু-গণ “আমা-সবা’ চাহি’ তবে করহ রন্ধন” ॥ ৪৬ ॥

बलिते लागिला यत इष्ट-बन्धु-गण “आमा-सबा’ चाहि’ तबे करह रन्धन” ॥ ४६ ॥

balite lāgilā yata iṣṭa-bandhu-gaṇa “āmā-sabā’ cāhi’ tabe karaha randhana” || 46 ||

balite lagila yata ista-bandhu-gana “ama-saba’ cahi’ tabe karaha randhana” (46)

English translation:

(46) All the friends and relatives of Jagannātha Miśra present there also requested the brāhmaṇa, “Please be merciful on us and cook again.”

Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:

The phrase āmā-sabā’ cāhi’ means “by mercifully glancing on us.”
