The Chaitanya Bhagavata 1.1.106, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 106 of Adi-khanda chapter 1—“Summary of Lord Gaura’s Pastimes”.

আদি-খণ্ডে, বিদ্যা-বিলাসের মহারম্ভ পাষণ্ডী দেখযে যেন মূর্তি-মন্ত দম্ভ ॥ ১০৬ ॥
आदि-खण्डे, विद्या-विलासेर महारम्भ पाषण्डी देखये येन मूर्ति-मन्त दम्भ ॥ १०६ ॥
ādi-khaṇḍe, vidyā-vilāsera mahārambha pāṣaṇḍī dekhaye yena mūrti-manta dambha || 106 ||
adi-khande, vidya-vilasera maharambha pasandi dekhaye yena murti-manta dambha (106)
English translation:
(106) In the Ādi-khaṇḍa at the beginning of the Lord’s educational pastimes He appears to the atheists as the personification of pride.
Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:
Since the Lord ridiculed the foolish people by His exhibition of scholarship, He was regarded by the atheists as the personification of pride. The devotees of the Lord, who accept His qualities as all- auspicious, were overjoyed on seeing His scholastic pastimes. Envious persons shook in fear of Him and accused Him of being proud.
