Brahma-Sūtra 2.3.43
English of translation of Brahmasutra 2.3.43 by Roma Bose:
“On account of the wording of a sacred text.”
Nimbārka’s commentary (Vedānta-pārijāta-saurabha):
“On account of the wording of the sacred text,” viz. ‘A foot of him are all beings’ (Ṛgveda-saṃhitā 10.90.3[1]; Chāndogya-upaniṣad 3.12.6), the individual soul is a part of Brahman.
Śrīnivāsa’s commentary (Vedānta-kaustubha)
The individual soul is nothing hut a part of the Supreme Soul. Why? Also “on account of the wording of the sacred text”: ‘A foot of him are all beings, three feet of him are immortal in the heaven’ (Ṛgveda-saṃhitā 10.90.3; Chāndogya-upaniṣad 3.12.6). A ‘feet’ means a ‘part’.
