This stone sculpture shows an image of Chandra (the moon) from the 16th century A.D.—Like sun-worship, the worship of moon or Chandra (Candra) was also popular in Nepal during Malla period. This rare image of Chandra in display here is seated on a chariot drawn by seven flying geese with a human figure as the charioteer.
