This stone sculpture shows an image of Brahmayani from the 17th-century A.D.—Brahmayani (Brahmāyaṇī) is the female power of Brahma, the God of creation in the Astamatrika (Ashtamatrika) tradition. The four-armed Brahmayani is seated in lalitasana with her principal hands holding varada and kalasha, a sacred vase while the remaining hands are holding her usual attributes.
