Viruc (विरुच्).—1 Ā.

1) To shine, be resplendent; सहस्रधात्मा व्यरुचद्विभक्तः पयोमुचां पङ्क्तिषु विद्युतेव (sahasradhātmā vyarucadvibhaktaḥ payomucāṃ paṅktiṣu vidyuteva) R.6.5;17.14; Bk. 8.66.

2) To be eminent or conspicuous.

3) To become visible, appear.

4) To illuminate, brighten (P.).

5) To please, delight. -Caus.
