Source: ORA: Amanaska (king of all yogas): A Critical Edition and Annotated Translation by Jason BirchSnigdhīkaraṇa (स्निग्धीकरण) refers to “that which makes (the body) glossy”, according to the Yogaśāstra (verse 12.37).—Accordingly, “Now, softness of the body [arises when the highest reality manifests,] even without rubbing one’s perspiration [back into the body,] and this illuminating reality makes [the body] glossy (snigdhīkaraṇa) without oil”.
