Samparkadala (सम्पर्कदल).—(also known as samparkārdha) Half the sum of the diameters of the eclipsed and eclipsing bodies. Note: Samparka-dala is a Sanskrit technical term used in ancient Indian sciences such as Astronomy, Mathematics and Geometry.
