Source: Wikisource: A dictionary of Sanskrit grammar1) Rhil (र्हिल्).—A tad. affix termed also विभक्ति (vibhakti) which is applied to the word इदभ् (idabh) in the sense of the locative case, the word इदम् (idam) being changed into एत (eta); e. g. एतर्हि (etarhi); cf. इदमो र्हिल् (idamo rhil) P. V. 3.16 and एतेतौ रथोः (etetau rathoḥ) P. V. 3.4.
2) Rhil.—tad. affix applied in Veda to तत् (tat) and other pronouns; e.g.तर्हि, कर्हि, यर्हि (tarhi, karhi, yarhi), cf. P. V. 3.20, 21.
Vyakarana (व्याकरण, vyākaraṇa) refers to Sanskrit grammar and represents one of the six additional sciences (vedanga) to be studied along with the Vedas. Vyakarana concerns itself with the rules of Sanskrit grammar and linguistic analysis in order to establish the correct context of words and sentences.
