Source: Jainworld: Jain History (h)Rājyapura is the historical name for Nīlakaṇṭha (Rajora Garh or Rājorgarh), situated forty-five kms. to the south-west of Alwar. Nīlakaṇṭha was capital of the Baḍa Gurjara Rājputs. Jainism made marked progress during the reign of the Baḍa-Gurjaras. Jaina saints performed penances in some caves. By their inspiration, their followers constructed magnificent temples, and images in them.
