Source: academia.edu: A Prayer for Rebirth in the SukhāvatīNirgranthiśira (निर्ग्रन्थिशिर) refers to “unknotted veins” and represents the eighth of the eighty minor marks of distinction (anuvyañjana) mentioned in the Sukhāvatī and following the order of the Mahāvyutpatti (269-348). In Tibetan, the characteristic called Nirgranthiśira is known as ‘rtsa mdud med pa’. The Sukhāvatī represents a prayer for rebirth which was composed by Karma chags med, a Karma bka’ brgyud master, who lived in the seventeenth century.
