nācaṇēṃ (नाचणें).—v i (nāṭya S) To dance. Pr. nācatāṃ yēīnā mhaṇūna aṅgaṇa vāṅkaḍēṃ; also rāndhatāṃ yēīnā ōlīṃ lāṅkaḍēṃ Bad workmen find fault with their tools. Also nācāyāsa gēlī paṇa aṅgaṇa vāṅkaḍēṃ Ignorance or incompetence invents excuses. 2 fig. To skip and caper about; to frisk, curvet, prance--a child, horse &c. 3 To speak loftily, with a hoitytoity air and toss. 4 To speak in a glowing or sanguine strain; to talk magniloquently (of maria et montes). Ex. amakēṃ karīna tamakēṃ karīna asēṃ tō nācīta hōtā. nācaṇēṃ uḍaṇēṃ or nācūṃ uḍūṃ lāgaṇēṃ To skip and caper about. nācata uḍata With dancing and leaping, skipping and capering: jubilantly, gleefully &c.
