mātaṇēṃ (मातणें).—v i (mada S) To be puffed up; to be inflated with pride. 2 To become riotous and refractory from rich feeding. Pr. bōkaḍa mātē āṇi āpalyā tōṇḍīṃ mutē. 3 To grow luxuriantly--a plant. 4 (Poetry.) To swell and overflow; to be inflated or filled. Ex. brahmānandēṃ krīḍati sācāra || prēmabaḷēṃ mātō- niyā || This use in good sense is licentious.
