khamāṭaṇēṃ (खमाटणें).—v c To draw forcibly in binding or fastening. Gen. used in the form khamāṭūna and with such verbs as ōḍhaṇēṃ-bāndhaṇēṃ-tānaṇēṃ-khēcaṇēṃ-avaḷaṇēṃ. Also khamāṭūna dharaṇēṃ To clasp tightly or hold forcibly; khamāṭūna cālaṇēṃ To walk or move along vigorously or smartly; khamāṭūna jēvaṇēṃ or khāṇēṃ To gorge, cram, stuff. See kacakāvūna, khacāṭūna, ragaḍūna, rapāṭūna, dapaṭūna and others endlessly.
