Source: Shodhganga: Kasyapa Samhita—Text on Visha ChikitsaGaruḍayantra (गरुडयन्त्र) refers to “mystic procedures for detoxifying poison”, as described in the Kāśyapa Saṃhitā: an ancient Sanskrit text from the Pāñcarātra tradition dealing with both Tantra and Viṣacikitsā—an important topic from Āyurveda which deals with the study of Toxicology (Viṣavidyā or Sarpavidyā).—The second Adhyāya introduces the basic five Garuḍa Yantras which are said to be very potent and powerful especially in respect of detoxifying poison, arresting its spread and bestowing prosperity and general well-being on one to all. These Yantras are prepared with the Garuḍa-pañcākṣarī-mantra, the Ṣaḍarṇa and Saptārṇa-mantras. Kaśyapa introduces the five Yantra in a nuttshell in the second Adhyāya.
