Source: Shodhganga: a concise history of Sanskrit Chanda literature (history)Choṭīvṛtti (छोटीवृत्ति) is the name of a commentary on the Chandaśśāstraof Piṅgala ascribed to Sakhārāma: one of the sons of Gambhīrarāya Bhāratī (17th century), famous for his learning, character, intellect and wealth. Sakhārāma quotes the Chandovārttikarāja in his commentary Choṭīvṛtti on Chandaśśāstra of Piṅgala as one of the source and that is the only reference to claim his authorship on Chandovārttikarāja.
