This page relates ‘Fruit of wearing the Rosary of Aksha-beads’ of the study on the Shaiva Upanishads in English, comparing them with other texts dealing with the Shiva cult (besides the Agamas and Puranas). The Upaniṣads are ancient philosophical and theological treatises. Out of the 108 Upanishads mentioned in the Muktikopanishad, 15 are classified as Saiva-Upanisads.

17. Fruit of wearing the Rosary of Akṣa-beads

Again this half garland of fifty beads should be completed by adding fifty more beads with the same spirit and summon of the letters (Akṣara) thereafter, eight more beads should be spelled with the lettersa, ka,ca,ṭa,ta,pa,ya,śa[1] as previously done. Now one hundred eight beads will be intertwined with the garland (the śikhāmaṇi will enshrine by”kṣa” as before and the garland should be made by adopting this process).
