Sanskrit text, Unicode transliteration and English translation of verse 3.14.465:
नीलमुत्पलमित्यत्र न विशेष्ये न भेदके ।
कश्चित् तद्धर्मवचनो वाक्ये शब्दः प्रयुज्यते ॥ ४६५ ॥nīlamutpalamityatra na viśeṣye na bhedake |
kaścit taddharmavacano vākye śabdaḥ prayujyate || 465 ||465. In the sentence nīlam utpalam, no word expressive of the relation (taddharma) has been used cither with the qualified or with the qualifier.

[In the sentence nīlam utpalam, which explains the compound nīlotpalam, one understands from the apposition of the words to each other, their relation of qualifier and qualified, though the words viśeṣaṇa and viśeṣya have not been used in the sentence. These two words are used only in the sūtra P. 2.1.57.]
