Verse 3.9.13
Sanskrit text, Unicode transliteration and English translation of verse 3.9.13:
मूर्तीनां तेन भिन्नानामाचयापचयाः पृथक् ।
लक्ष्यन्ते परिणामेन सर्वासां भेदयोगिना ॥ १३ ॥mūrtīnāṃ tena bhinnānāmācayāpacayāḥ pṛthak |
lakṣyante pariṇāmena sarvāsāṃ bhedayoginā || 13 ||13. By it (Time), differentiated through its associates, the increase and decrease of all objects (mūrtīnām) are distinctly observed as transformations.
Commentary
[Through Time, all objects, animate or inanimate, undergo transformations in the form of increase or decrease, in a certain order. It is association with the actions of objects which differentiates Time which is really one. Eternal things are not affected by Time.]
It is now stated that the name kāla (Time) corresponds to its nature.
