Sanskrit text, Unicode transliteration and English translation of verse 2.332:
असत्यां प्रतिपत्तौ च मिथ्या वा प्रतिपादने ।
स्वैरर्थैर्नित्यसम्बद्धास्ते ते शब्दा व्यवस्थिताः ॥ ३३२ ॥asatyāṃ pratipattau ca mithyā vā pratipādane |
svairarthairnityasambaddhāste te śabdā vyavasthitāḥ || 332 ||332. Even when no meaning is understood or when a wrong meaning is understood words are still eternally connected with their meaning.
Commentary
[The relation between word and meaning is eternal. That is not affected by the fact that the listener may not understand the meaning due to absent-mindedness or due to ignorance. ]
