Sanskrit text and transliteration:

निलयो मूर्तधर्मः स्यादुत्तरोऽमूर्तसंश्रयः ।
विज्ञानं चेतनं विद्यादविज्ञानमचेतनम् ॥ ४०६ ॥

nilayo mūrtadharmaḥ syāduttaro'mūrtasaṃśrayaḥ |
vijñānaṃ cetanaṃ vidyādavijñānamacetanam || 406 ||

English translation of verse 2.406:

Nilaya, which means abode, is an attribute of the gross form. The latter, i.e., anilaya, which means non-abode, is related to the subtle form. Vijñānam means a sentient being, and avijñāna [avijñānam], an insentient object.

Notes:

This verse explains the meaning of the texts nilayanaṃ cānilayanaṃ ca, vijñānaṃ cāvijñānam ca.
