The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.1.341; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

यथा —
अहह नवाम्बुद-कान्तेर् अमुष्य सुकुमारता कुमारस्य ।
अपि नव-पल्लव-सङ्गाद् अङ्गान्य् अपरज्य शीर्यन्ति ॥२.१.३४१॥

yathā —
ahaha navāmbuda-kānter amuṣya sukumāratā kumārasya |
api nava-pallava-saṅgād aṅgāny aparajya śīryanti
||2.1.341||

English translation

“Ah! So tender is the body of this young boy with the complexion of a new cloud that by touching new shoots, His limbs become bruised and torn.”
