Summary: Shri Gaudiya Kantahara (English translation) was published by Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati to train devotees in the philosophy of Krishna-consciousness and to be able to quote the authoritative parts of the Vedas. A collection of over a thousand verses, sorted by tattva, includes general index, alphabetical index of verses. Verses in in Roman transliteration and English translation.

Alternative title: Śrī Gauḍīya Kaṇṭhahāra (श्री गौडीय कण्ठहार) or Gauḍīyakaṇṭhahāra (गौडीयकण्ठहार, Gaudiyakanthahara).

Each of the 18 chapters is compared to a garland or necklace. Atulakrsna Datta, a member of the Caitanya Matha, after receiving harinama-diksa initiation from Srila Bhaktisiddhanta, he began to perform ekantika bhajana (exclusive worship of the Lord). He compiled Sri Gaudiya Kantahara ("The Necklace of the Gaudiya Bhaktas"). This excellent book contains a collection of verses from the Vedas, Upanisads, and other sastras which establish the siddhanta of suddha-bhakti.
