The Garga-samhita Verse 4.14.25, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 4 of Chapter 14 (The Story of the Jalandharis) of Canto 4 (madhurya-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

रथान् ममर्द पादाभ्यां
पऋष्णि-घातेन घोण्टकान्
गजे गजं ताडयित्वा
गजान् प्रोन्नीय चाङ्घ्रिषु

rathān mamarda pādābhyāṃ
paṛṣṇi-ghātena ghoṇṭakān
gaje gajaṃ tāḍayitvā
gajān pronnīya cāṅghriṣu

rathān—chariots; mamarda—crushed; pādābhyām—with both feet; paṛṣṇi-ghātena—with his heel; ghoṇṭakān—horses; gaje—elephant; gajam—elephant; tāḍayitvā—striking; gajān—elephants; pronnīya—leading away; ca—and; aṅghriṣu—at the feet.

English translation of verse 4.14.25:

Kicking them with his feet, Kaṃsa destroyed many chariots. Kicking them with his heel, Kaṃsa killed many horses. He beat many elephants and many he overturned, their feet kicking in the air.
