कांश्चिद् वीरान् स-कवचान्
गदया वज्र-कल्पया
पातयाम् आस भू-पृष्ठे
वज्रेणेन्द्रो यथा गिरिम्
kāṃścid vīrān sa-kavacān
gadayā vajra-kalpayā
pātayām āsa bhū-pṛṣṭhe
vajreṇendro yathā girim
kāṃścit—some; vīrān—warriors; sa-kavacān—with their armor; gadayā—with the club; vajra-kalpayā—like lightning; pātayām āsa—made fall; bhū-pṛṣṭhe—to the ground; vajreṇa—with the thunderbolt; indraḥ—Indra; yathā—as; girim—a mountain.
English translation of verse 4.14.24:
As King Indra with his thunderbolt knocks down a great mountain, so Kaṃsa with his thunderbolt club, knocked many armored warriors to the ground.
