The Garga-samhita Verse 4.11.8, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 4 of Chapter 11 (The Story of the Gopis That were Residents of Rama-vaikuntha, Shvetadvipa, Urdhva-vaikuntha, Ajita-pada, and Shri Lokacala) of Canto 4 (madhurya-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

तासां वीथिषु सम्प्राप्तिं
वीक्ष्य गोप्यो ऽपि सर्वतः
आययुर् दर्शनं कर्तुं
मोहिताः प्रेम-विह्वलाः

tāsāṃ vīthiṣu samprāptiṃ
vīkṣya gopyo 'pi sarvataḥ
āyayur darśanaṃ kartuṃ
mohitāḥ prema-vihvalāḥ

tāsām—of them; vīthiṣu—on the opathways; samprāptim—attainment; vīkṣyaseeing; gopyaḥthe gopīs; api—also; sarvataḥ—in all respects; āyayuḥ—arrived; darśanam—seeing; kartum—to do; mohitāḥ—enchanted; prema-vihvalāḥ—overcome with love.

English translation of verse 4.11.8:

Seeing Him on the path, the enchanted gopīs were overcome with love. To gaze at Him, they came close.
