राजन्त्यस् ताः शीत-जले
हसन्त्यः प्राहुर् आनताः

rājantyas tāḥ śīta-jale
hasantyaḥ prāhur ānatāḥ

rājantyaḥ—splendidly beautiful; tāḥ—they; śītain the cold; jale—water; hasantyaḥ—giggling; prāhuḥ—said; ānatāḥ—with bowed heads.

English translation of verse 4.3.9:

Bowing their heads as they stood in the cold water, the smiling girls spoke.
