The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.28.87, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 87 of Madhya-khanda chapter 28—“The Lord’s Pastime of Accepting Sannyasa”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 2.28.87:

নাগরিযা যত ভক্ত, তারা কান্দে অবিরত, বাল-বৃদ্ধ নাহিক বিচার কাঙ্দে সব স্ত্রী-পুরুষে, পাষণ্ডী-গণ হাসে, `নিমাইরে না দেখিমু আর’ ॥ ৮৭ ॥

नागरिया यत भक्त, तारा कान्दे अविरत, बाल-वृद्ध नाहिक विचार काङ्दे सब स्त्री-पुरुषे, पाषण्डी-गण हासे, `निमाइरे ना देखिमु आर’ ॥ ८७ ॥

nāgariyā yata bhakta, tārā kānde avirata, bāla-vṛddha nāhika vicāra kāṅde saba strī-puruṣe, pāṣaṇḍī-gaṇa hāse, `nimāire nā dekhimu āra’ || 87 ||

nagariya yata bhakta, tara kande avirata, bala-vrddha nahika vicara kande saba stri-puruse, pasandi-gana hase, `nimaire na dekhimu ara’ (87)

English translation:

(87) Both young and old, man and woman—all the devotees who came from the town cried incessantly. The atheists, however, laughed and said, “Now we’ll not see Nimāi again.”
