The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.28.86, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 86 of Madhya-khanda chapter 28—“The Lord’s Pastime of Accepting Sannyasa”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 2.28.86:

শুনিযা ক্রন্দন-রব, নদীযার লোক-সব, দেখিতে আইসে সব ধাঞানা দেখি’ প্রভুর মুখ, সবে পায মহা-শোক, কান্দে সবে মাথে হাত দিযা ॥ ৮৬ ॥

शुनिया क्रन्दन-रव, नदीयार लोक-सब, देखिते आइसे सब धाञाना देखि’ प्रभुर मुख, सबे पाय महा-शोक, कान्दे सबे माथे हात दिया ॥ ८६ ॥

śuniyā krandana-rava, nadīyāra loka-saba, dekhite āise saba dhāñānā dekhi’ prabhura mukha, sabe pāya mahā-śoka, kānde sabe māthe hāta diyā || 86 ||

suniya krandana-rava, nadiyara loka-saba, dekhite aise saba dhanana dekhi’ prabhura mukha, sabe paya maha-soka, kande sabe mathe hata diya (86)

English translation:

(86) Hearing the crying of the devotees, the people of Nadia rushed to see what had happened. When they did not see the Lord’s face, they were also stricken with grief and began to cry while holding their heads.
