The Chaitanya Bhagavata 1.11.43, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 43 of Adi-khanda chapter 11—“Meeting with Shri Ishvara Puri”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 1.11.43:

আমার সম্ভাষে নাহি কৃষ্ণের কথন অতএব আমা’ দেখি’ করে পলাযন ॥ ৪৩ ॥

आमार सम्भाषे नाहि कृष्णेर कथन अतएव आमा’ देखि’ करे पलायन ॥ ४३ ॥

āmāra sambhāṣe nāhi kṛṣṇera kathana ataeva āmā’ dekhi’ kare palāyana || 43 ||

amara sambhase nahi krsnera kathana ataeva ama’ dekhi’ kare palayana (43)

English translation:

(43) “I do not speak anything about Kṛṣṇa, therefore He ran away when he saw Me.”

Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:

Since Śrī Gaurasundara’s statements contained no mention of the qualities of Kṛṣṇa, the devotees left Him in the distance and went far away.
