The Chaitanya Bhagavata 1.11.36, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 36 of Adi-khanda chapter 11—“Meeting with Shri Ishvara Puri”.

কৃষ্ণ-কথা শুনিতেই সবে ভালবাসে ফাঙ্কি বিনু প্রভু কৃষ্ণ-কথা না জিজ্ঞাসে ॥ ৩৬ ॥

कृष्ण-कथा शुनितेइ सबे भालवासे फाङ्कि विनु प्रभु कृष्ण-कथा ना जिज्ञासे ॥ ३६ ॥

kṛṣṇa-kathā śunitei sabe bhālavāse phāṅki vinu prabhu kṛṣṇa-kathā nā jijñāse || 36 ||

krsna-katha sunitei sabe bhalavase phanki vinu prabhu krsna-katha na jijnase (36)

English translation:

(36) The devotees all loved to hear topics concerning Lord Kṛṣṇa, but Nimāi did not mention anything about Kṛṣṇa when He challenged them.

Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:

The devotees loved to hear topics of Kṛṣṇa, but the Lord bewildered them with subjects not related to Kṛṣṇa for the purpose of keeping Himself unknown or hidden from the devotees, thus maintaining His covered status.
