The Chaitanya Bhagavata 1.5.106, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 106 of Adi-khanda chapter 5—“Eating the Mendicant Brahmana’s Offerings”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 1.5.106:

নিশা দেড প্রহর, দুইও বা যায ইহাতে কি আর পাক করিতে যুযায? ॥ ১০৬ ॥

निशा देड प्रहर, दुइओ वा याय इहाते कि आर पाक करिते युयाय? ॥ १०६ ॥

niśā deḍa prahara, duio vā yāya ihāte ki āra pāka karite yuyāya? || 106 ||

nisa deda prahara, duio va yaya ihate ki ara paka karite yuyaya? (106)

English translation:

(106) “It is practically the middle of the night. Is it proper to cook at this time?

Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:

The word yuyāya means “proper” or “reasonable.”
