Source: archive.org: Shiva Purana - English TranslationUtphullalocana (उत्फुल्ललोचन) or simply Utphulla refers to the “eyes (shining with brilliance)”, according to the Śivapurāṇa 2.2.24. Accordingly as Brahmā narrated to Nārada:—“[...] on hearing her [Satī’s] words Rāma became happy, his eyes shining with brilliance (utphullalocana). He thought upon his lord Śiva. Emotions of love swelled in his heart [...]”.
