unhāḷā (उन्हाळा).—m (ūnha & kāḷa) The hot season. 2 The dry season; the eight months as disting. from the four monsoon-months. 3 pl The hot dysury. 4 Orphan-state; exposure (through the removal of the shelter of the parent) to the heat (storms and blasts) of the rude world. Ex. pōrābāḷācā u0 jhālā. Also generally, scorched, blasted, marred, spoiled, ruined state (of fields, crops, establishments, articles).
