ulaṭaṇēṃ (उलटणें).—v c ( H) To turn over; to overturn or upset. 2 To turn; to bring the inside out (of a garment). 3 To do over again; to repeat an operation or a process: e. g. to remeasure a quantity of grain; to revise a writing; to recommence and go through again (a course of study). 4 To despatch or dispose of; to turn about and get through with (a work, an intricate account &c.) Ex. hēṃ sārēṃ lihiṇēṃ paḍalēṃ āhē hēṃ ulaṭāyāsa dōna mahinē pāhijēta. 5 To solve or interpret, i. e. to turn over successfully (a problem, a riddle, a vision or dream). ulaṭūna gōṣṭī sāṅgaṇēṃ To reply saucily; to answer again;--as a servant his master. ulaṭūna bōlaṇēṃ To speak again; to repeat a thing said. 2 To reply saucily, retortingly &c.
