Tīrttam (தீர்த்தம்) noun < tīrtha.

1. Ceremonial purity; பரிசுத்தம். தீர்த்த முக்கண் முதல் வனை [parisutham. thirtha mukkan muthal vanai] (தேவாரம் [thevaram] 584, 9).

2. Water, drinking-water; நீர். (சூடாமணிநிகண்டு) பாததீர்த்தம் பருகினான் [nir. (sudamaninigandu) pathathirtham paruginan] (காஞ்சிப்புராணம் திருமண. [kanchippuranam thirumana.] 59).
