A festive celebration on the night of the 14th day of the dark fortnight at moon-rise in the month of Aippaci, believed to be ordained by Kṛṣṇa at the request of Narakācuraṉ கண்ண பிரானாற் கொல்லப்பட்ட நரகாசுரன் வேண்டுகோளின் படி ஐப்பசியிற் கிருஷ்ணபட்சத்தில் சதுர்த்தசியுள்ள வைகறையிற் மங்களஸ்நானஞ்செய்து கொண்டாடப் படும் பெரும்பண்டிகை.
