Three kinds of Wisdom:—A technical term in Buddhism corresponding to the Sanskrit prajñā defined in the Dharma-saṃgraha (section 110):

  1. By way of learning (śruta-mayī),
  2. By way of thinking (cintā-mayī),
  3. By way of meditation (bhāvanā-mayī).

The Dharma-samgraha (Dharmasangraha) is an extensive glossary of Buddhist technical terms in Sanskrit (e.g., ‘three kinds of wisdom’). The work is attributed to Nagarguna who lived around the 2nd century A.D.
