Śayyaṃbhavasūri (शय्यंभवसूरि) or Śayyaṃbhavasūrikathā is the name of a story embedded in the Aṣṭāhnikamahotsava (dealing with Festivals in Jain literature), which is included in the collection of manuscripts at the ‘Vincenzo Joppi’ library, collected by Luigi Pio Tessitori during his visit to Rajasthan between 1914 and 1919.—[...] Then come other stories: Śayyaṃbhavasūri-kathā; Rohiṇeyakathā, [...]. This includes the story of Sūryayaśas, alias Ādityayaśas, one of Bharata’s sons (Sanskrit verse telling in Schubring no. 401) whose steadiness in ascetic practices was put to test by Indra through the Apsaras Urvaśī.
