A monk must keep to his own pasture ground, his own native beat (pettikavisaya) - viz., the four satipatthanas. Objects, sounds, etc., are passion fraught, inciting to lust. S.v.146f.

The introduction of the sutta contains the Sakunagghi Jataka (q.v.). The name given in the uddana of the Samyutta is the Sakunagghi Sutta.
