1) [adjective] having a fixed, selfish (interest); concerning one’s own welfare or intrest and not others; showing or prompted by self-interest.

2) [adjective] ಪಟ್ಟಭದ್ರ ಹಕ್ಕು [pattabhadra hakku] paṭṭa bhadra hakku a right that is established by rule or convention, which cannot be eliminated; vested interest; 2. a selfish goal to achieve or maintain of which one exerts controlling influence, usu. which is against the interest of the public in general; vested interest.
