Source: Sutta: The Pali Text Society's Pali-English DictionaryPañcaseṭṭha refers to: (Bhagavā) “the most excellent in the five” Sn. 355 (=pañcannaṃ paṭhamasissānaṃ pañcavaggiyānaṃ seṭṭho, pañcahi vā saddhādīhi indriyehi sīlādīhi vā dhamma-khandhehi ativisiṭṭhehi cakkhūhi ca seṭṭho SnA 351).
Note: pañcaseṭṭha is a Pali compound consisting of the words pañca and seṭṭha.
