1. To grow old; to have the qualities of age; இளமைத்தன்மை நீங்கி முற்றுதல். முதிராக் கிளவியள் [ilamaithanmai ningi murruthal. muthirag kilaviyal] (மணிமேகலை [manimegalai] 22, 181).
2. To become mature; to grow ripe; பக்குவமாதல். கொண்மூ . . . சூன் முதிர்பு [pakkuvamathal. konmu . . . sun muthirpu] (புறநானூறு [purananuru] 161).
3. To excel, surpass; to become satiated; to be saturated; நிறைதல். உறைமுதிரா நீரால் [niraithal. uraimuthira niral] (திணைமாலை நூற்றைம்பது [thinaimalai nurraimbathu] 103).
