Maṇṭalamiṭu (மண்டலமிடு) [maṇṭalamiṭutal] [maṇṭalam-iṭu] intransitive verb < idem. +.

To prepare a place by cleansing it with water, as for dining or worship; உண்ணுகை பூசை முதலிய வற்றிற்காக நீர் தெளித்துத் தடவி இடம் பண்ணுதல். நீரைத்தெளித்துத் தடவி மண்டலமிட்டு [unnugai pusai muthaliya varrirkaga nir thelithuth thadavi idam pannuthal. niraithelithuth thadavi mandalamittu] (சிலப்பதிகாரம் அரும்பதவுரை [silappathigaram arumbathavurai] 16, 41, உரை [urai]).
